Chef Suleyman Kirbancioglu (known as Sulo), along with wife Natalie, opened Safran in 2013 with the inspiration to showcase Turkish cuisine beyond kebabs and pide. Sulo grew up in Mengen, by the Black Sea, a region renowned for producing the best Chefs in Turkey. He comes from a long line of culinary excellence, with the majority of his family also in the hospitality trade. After years of experience working in some of the finest dining establishments in Istanbul, he has brought his passion for incredible Turkish food to the Central Coast.
